The Mind Your Flow Method is simple:
We use modern mindfulness techniques rooted in historic wisdom traditions to cultivate clear sight into your present-day life.
We envision your future—characterized by spacious flow states—and develop practical steps to access those flow states.
We practice, using the science of neuroplasticity and habit formation, to actualize your flow.
What we do, together.
-
Believe in science (and your mind).
Fundamental to the Mind Your Flow Method is this principle: We can change. And change is a choice. Just as we exercise to run a race or sing a sonata, we can choose to exercise different parts of our minds. This isn’t news—scholars ranging from the ancient yogis to the Stoics to modern neuroscientists agree. We spend our lives sailing on autopilot, allowing our highs and lows to drown us. And yet: we can choose to live differently. Grounded in our ever-motivating why, we can apply mindfulness to change our current state of being and the future we build. Flow states are in reach.

Rooted in reality, not woo.
I don’t do woo: it’s not my jam. Manifestation, incantations, and cleanses may be right for some—even I like a good green juice on a sunny morning sometimes. But the Mind Your Flow Method is designed for practitioners who seek measurable results backed by modern neuroscience. We cultivate mindful awareness of our thinking and feeling states, noting obstacles to flow, then use dedicated practice to adjust our course forward. Our method together is observable, teachable, and repeatable. You should leave each session feeling empowered by practical tools to engage with the universe outside—and inside.

But add love.
Always seeking quick fixes and cures, we grasp for eight-step-plans-to-freedom! and fifteen-habits-to-change-your-life! and more. I don’t offer a one-size-fits-all set of bullet points to catch the eye. I firmly believe that mindfulness and self-inquiry are deeply personal, holistic practices best formulated by you, not me. One truth animates all my coaching, though: Love is at the root of flow. Yeah, yeah, I’m not talking about mushy love here. I’m talking about the fiery, disciplined, principled love that burns its way through the dark. I teach you meditations and statistics and principles to live by, but they only take hold when you infuse them with love.

Practice makes (im)perfect.
Practice and meditate and journal and read and and and…and then what? Keep rowing. Flow coaching helps you cultivate the arising of flow states, yes, but it won’t keep you there. Be skeptical of anyone who promises you otherwise. The Mind Your Flow Method gives you a set of tools to employ as you ask yourself life’s hardest questions, as you learn to get out of your own way to use time fully, be fully present, and be wholly yourself. You will capsize again and again, but: you will right yourself with greater ease each time. Practice makes practice, in life and in minds.
